The Pride Group Celebrates Selection as a Beneficiary in Hy-Vee's Reusable Bag Program that Supports Local Nonprofits
The Hy-Vee Reusable Bag Program, which launched in November 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities customers live and work.
The Pride Group was selected as the November beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Hy-Vee located in Le Mars, IA. The Pride Group will receive a $1 donation every time a Reusable Bag is purchased at this location during November, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag. “We are honored to be selected as the beneficiary of the Hy-Vee reusable bags during the first month of the program.” said Samantha Menke, Public Relations Officer of The Pride Group. “The backing we get from great community partners like Hy-Vee goes a long way in supporting our members and we are so appreciative.”

What is the Cost of the Reusable Bag?
The cost of the bag is $2.50, with $1 of that purchase price going to support a benefiting non-profit.
Where can the bags be found in the store?
The bags are available at various registers and at the reusable bag rack. If you are having trouble finding the bag, ask the store manager where the Reusable Bag is located and they will be happy to show you!
Can I support The Pride Group when shopping at other Hy-Vee locations in Iowa?
Yes! When you purchase a reusable bag at any location simply fill out the Giving Tag and indicate you would like the donation to be made to The Pride Group. This can be done at any Hy-Vee during any month of the year.
How many non-profits benefit from the Reusable Bag Program?
Every month, Hy-Vee contributes money to approximately 235 non-profits local to the communities in which each Hy-Vee serves. Recipient organizations change monthly based on the selections made by store leadership.
